Epi’s new work, “Good morning spring,” integrates diverse styles of classical orchestral, electronic, and jazz music. During its creation, the work drew inspiration from the works of Nino Rota, Nicola Piovani, and Ennio Morricone. Epi has consistently upheld that music serves as the emotional core of the work rather than a mere background track.
The piece opens with soft clarinet tones that establish an intimate, private atmosphere. As the work develops, it gradually layers in the cool texture of electronic synthesizers, the agile lines of jazz bass, and the dense, intricate fabric of a string ensemble.
This arrangement strikes a precise balance between the distinction of personal emotion and the tension of grand narrative, endowing the work with both the weighty quality of classic European film scores and the vivid attributes of contemporary sound. In the current music landscape, which increasingly prioritizes instant traffic, “Good morning spring,” which stands out for its exquisite orchestration and rich emotional depth, is a high-quality creation that carries forward the tradition of classic film scores while offering a clear contemporary expression.
