There’s a certain power in warmth when juxtaposed with a heavier emotional backdrop, and Jonas Bjerre’s “Hike To The Sun“ embraces that contrast beautifully. Taken from Hana Korea, a film of the same name about a North Korean girl exiled in South Korea, the track offers an emotional counterpoint to the film’s heavier ambient themes of alienation.
Featuring the vocals of Yeohee Kim, this is a song and a highlight from an album of introspective instrumentals.
