Youth Valley is an Athens shoegaze-post-punk group, and their third single from the band’s upcoming sophomore album, “sunday oh monday,” traces an emotional cycle as the band moves from Sunday to Monday. The song explores how the relentless demands of survival can gradually deaden the adult mind, both physically and spiritually.

The song draws on shoegaze and dream pop influences to craft a rich space featuring guitars, keys, bass, drums, and percussion. With Joseph Powell on Vocals and Guitar, George V on Guitar, Aki Rei on Guitar and Keyboards, Dean Jola on Drums and Percussion, and Alex Bolpasis on Bass. The layered instrumentation helps the song’s surreal mood, carrying its emotional weight in texture and repetition.

“sunday oh monday” was written by Powell and produced by Bolpasis and Powell. Bolpasis recorded and mixed this track at Suono Studio, and Nick Townsend mastered it at Infrasonic Sound. The slick production helps the track feel like it’s part of an endless cycle without sacrificing its darker tone. “sunday oh monday” is a standout, a powerful portrait of modern fatigue that embodies the universal experience. With its looping emotional perspective, Youth Valley’s latest single has a timely, resonant edge and makes a strong statement for the band’s next chapter.
