“Life Saver,“ the sixth song on the 12-song LP “Bus Ride Back” by Young Thad F is about stepping outside your comfort zone and that feeling of being on the right track but needing help. The LP, “Bus Ride Back,” is about life away from the places you felt safe or at home, like the dodgy neighborhoods, broken homes, broken relationships.
These themes provide a wider context for reading “Life Saver.” The song is basically saying you have to take the better way, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have problems. The overall approach is punchy instrumentals and catchy rhymes, and each song is meant to stand on its own while enhancing the listening experience.
Young Thad F shows that finding the right direction doesn’t mean you have to do it all by yourself. That view gives “Life Saver“ more meaning than simply overcoming obstacles. The project’s larger theme is difficult experience, self-improvement, and the reality of moving on, embodied in “Bus Ride Back.”
