M & J’s latest release, “BELLE DELIGHT,” began with a statement from a Parisian girl. It is an electronic release based on the simple act of celebrating someone who takes your breath away. It is a personal inspiration, and this girl is why the song exists. She pushed M & J to move beyond the love ballads they were doing and write something cooler.
“BELLE DELIGHT“ has its own emotional center in that origin. It was written for someone in France and inspired by the effect that person had on the artist. The result is a tribute to the people who leave something memorable in our lives. M & J turns one meeting into a larger idea about appreciating those who make a strong impression on us.
There’s also something nice about the way the inspiration happened. In the writing, something different came up, which became the basis of a track separate from the love ballads that surrounded the creative moment at the beginning. “BELLE DELIGHT” is a standalone musical tribute with a bigger emotional message. It’s a story, but the feeling within it is that some people come into your life and leave such an impression that you write a song about them.
