ReeToxA finally drops his second album, “SOLILOQUY,” a cinematic rock odyssey to redefine the future of modern rock. Spanning 26 meticulously produced tracks featuring a European orchestra, this double album took years to record. These songs were written by Jason back in 1997, and the 1-hour, 25-minute album is filled with memories, fears, and personal thoughts.

The opening track on the album “REETOXA” epitomizes a prevailing energy that immediately ushers you into Jason’s domain. “INSATIABLE” is a banger, the kind that only ReeToxA can lay down. “AKAROA” steps into a more melodic, atmospheric space, while “BOTTLE” recalls the album’s long creative journey through introspection. “DANCING WITH LOU” puts a fun and groovy spin on the rough edge of “THRIFT SHOP DRESS.”

“THE LISA SONG” and “GOWN” have to do with memory and being weak, and “TRUCE,” in the center of it all, is a strong song. “ALCOHOL” and “DEMAND PERFECTION” both touch on personal issues, revealing fearlessness and openness. “ERICA AND THE STARS” expands on the album’s themes through a combination of storytelling with rock sounds. “WAR KILLER” possesses aggressive riffs with confrontational lyrics.

“PURPLE VEIN illustrates how much your work ethic and willingness to go for broke for the sake of art have paid off after all these years. “SOLILOQUY” is proof of how rock music can transform lives, how potent art can be, and how potent naked feeling can be.
