“Angel Dust,” the new EP of Washington, D.C.-based duo GLOSSER, invites listeners into a dreamy, production-dense journey fusing soft indie-pop, hypnotic drum sounds, and weightless chord progressions.

Clocking in at 13 minutes and 52 seconds, it begins with rich, atmospheric textures while each track delves into a lush sphere of sound. GLOSSER’s trademark vocals float on featherweight production, creating an intimate and mystical atmosphere.

The title track, “Angel Dust,” is a highlight, crystallizing the mission of the EP with its dreamy but intentional execution. It’s a song that doesn’t simply track its flows, and its soft waves of synths and beats pull the listener deeper into its hypnotic spell. Another standout track is “Silver Star,” whose high-pitched shimmering is celestial, counterbalanced by moments of vocal delivery and production-heavy spots that expand and contract like a heartbeat.

GLOSSER builds an indie-pop universe that is at once intimate and enormous, an indication not merely that the band can write songs, but that they can craft soundscapes. This EP solidifies GLOSSER’s position in the indie-pop landscape as director of atmosphere and emotion.
