Turnstile is back with their new single, “NEVER ENOUGH.” The Baltimore band has served up a fantastic thunderclap of a track that resists being boxed in, and that’s precisely what made it hit so hard.

This single from their forthcoming album, “NEVER ENOUGH,” to be released by June 6th, is an odyssey in opposition, synergy, and blissfully penned pandemonium. It starts unexpectedly, in a muted haze through which dream-like radio bathes synths washing wide as cathedral echoes, soft and cinematic. For a split second, it seems like Turnstile has cranked the volume down to a whisper.

“NEVER ENOUGH” is a blast of emo-adjacent melodies, post-hardcore grit, and emotional urgency that constricts your chest in the best possible way. The track has a lot of energy but retains a melodic backbone. It’s bracing but also beautifully precise as the group has become so adept at the sudden shift that they spin it like a weapon.

What gives even more weight, however, is the visual side. The song’s duality is a conceptual footnote to something visually added on, which is what the official music video, co-directed by Turnstile’s own Brendan Yates and Pat McCrory. The imagery is raw and studied, melding performance with mood and intensity with introspection. It also serves as a reminder that Turnstile constructs immersive experiences. “NEVER ENOUGH” states that most bands can barely make an entire album. It is a signal that Turnstile has not finished evolving, that the group has not yet ceased pushing boundaries, and that they haven’t finished challenging fans to follow them into the unfamiliar, unexpected territory.
