Suited and Booted’s new release, “Never Too Old To Thrust,” is a fun indie-pop statement that says aging doesn’t mean giving up the things you love. The track is built around the idea that everyone should be able to move, have fun, and challenge the notion that age should determine how people live, dance, or express themselves.
The tongue-in-cheek attitude makes the message more inviting, enticing you to shed assumptions about what people should or shouldn’t be doing at different ages. Suited and Booted is all about dance and staying active, so for them, movement is a constant source of fun, not just for the young.
The song’s funny angle on a familiar theme makes it so memorable. Blowing out the candles on a birthday cake challenges arbitrary limits and encourages a more relaxed attitude to age. “Never Too Old To Thrust“ works because it’s an accessible, fun message. Suited and Booted delivers a fun, upbeat record about confidence, being active, and enjoying the moment. It is a quick reminder that you get older, but you always have the chance to dance and enjoy life’s pleasures.
