Based in Minneapolis, MN, Zander writes “PROJECT 2025” from the perspective of an artist and a human in the twenty-first century. The EP expresses the whacked political and social state of affairs in the U.S. with biting humor and a clear-eyed concern for how policies and power impact average citizens. Zander is working with transparent, concrete language that invites hypocrisy to be confronted and challenging questions to be asked.
The focus track, “Did You Hear?!”, is one of the EP’s most vital moments. Zander wrote, recorded, and produced “PROJECT 2025” entirely on his own, which is enormous.
This autonomy from beginning to end is commensurate with the project’s overall themes of freedom and accountability, which he holds very dear. “PROJECT 2025“ sets itself apart from a crowded field, beyond simply taking a seat to wait and see.
