Ohio-based rockers TiLT 360 releases a torrent of feeling, thought, and passion on their latest track, “It Grows.” The song from their four-song EP, “It Grows,” is a time capsule of personal struggle and artistic growth and  testament to the relentless determination of a band with deep roots in the soul of Youngstown.

Established in 1999, TiLT 360 was conceived when vocalist/songwriter Billy Smaltz responded to an innocuous local classified by drummer Heather Jurina. That serendipitous meeting put them on a musical path that later welcomed bassist Drew Salzano and guitarist Jason Miller, each adding a layer to their raw, exposed sound. Now, after years of inactivity, the band has reignited their spark, serving as a strong reminder for old fans and new that they’ve been sorely missed.

“It Grows” is an expert balance of history and the present. It is a remastered gem that has had the dust brushed off it and is now sharpened and freshened up for a present-day ear. Smaltz holds an unfiltered mirror of his own struggles, which include addiction and the search for emotional salvation. He sings each line with an honesty that can be felt even when not openly heard. Recorded somewhere between Youngstown, Ohio, and Harrisburg, the track is imbued with a lived-in, natural feel, a torn-out excerpt from a diary that had been biding its time until someone found it.

“It Grows” is set apart by memories and timelessness. Years later, TiLT 360’s music still taps a nerve, proving their persistent commitment to telling the truth through song. With rumblings of a reunion show and new material brewing under the surface, this track marks a return and something close to a renaissance.
