The latest development in the never-ending 50 Cent saga, the rapper’s ex and mother of his firstborn son, Shaniqua Tompkins, has leveled some damaging accusations against him over a frank Q&A session on Instagram Live. And, in the first episode of her new online show, The Unspoken, Tompkins has laid an allegation of abuse at the door of the multi-platinum rapper and entrepreneur, claiming that he once assaulted his former girlfriend, Daphne Joy.
Tompkins, who has a son named Marquise Jackson with 50 Cent, alleged that there was previously a domestic violence case opened in California with 50 Cent and Daphne Joy. She also accused investigators of getting her to testify in the case, which she ultimately refused. “They contacted my child support attorneys for me to testify in Daphne Joy’s domestic violence case, which I declined,” she revealed during her livestream.
The woman does not wish to be identified but is speaking out now, Tompkins says, in the wake of focusing attention on sex abuse cases involving influential entertainment figures. She also connected the timing of her comments to the larger reckoning that has taken place throughout the ongoing Diddy trial, alluding that there are other undetermined cases regarding industry figures. In a zinger, Tompkins didn’t pull any punches in criticizing Joy’s character, adding that she was nothing more than a “call girl from Vegas,” information she says 50 Cent knew about before they were a couple. “That’s known. And he knew that when he beat her up in California,” she added flatly, accusing Joy and 50 Cent of being toxic.

Although she made grave allegations, Tompkins said her lack of cooperation was based on personal animosity at the time. “I’m a mother first, and I’m a woman, but during the duration of the relationship between her and 50, he gave me so much shade, and she was trolling me along with him. Like she thought she was superior and she thought her and her child were superior to Marquise and I,” she said. Tompkins’ comments come a few days after their son, Marquise Jackson, made headlines over the weekend by digging at his dad, fanning flames on a long-running public beef.
50 Cent, who previously dated Daphne from 2011 to 2012 and with whom he shares a younger son, Sire, has not publicly addressed these latest claims, nor has Joy herself. As we wait for the dust to settle on this particular expose, this behind-the-scenes family fiasco continues to unfold around 50, and Tompkins’ The Unspoken doesn’t look set to hold back on any punches.
