Rudimental and Khalid gave the world a wake-up call with “All I Know,” a soaring, soulful track that marries classic UK drum and bass flavor with heart-stirring gospel textures and a vocal performance that drags out long. This is the first collaboration between the London-based trio Rudimental and Khalid. And for a first-time pairing, it lands with all the certainty of long familiarity.

“All I Know” is a master class in balance. Laying down a lush, live-instrumented arrangement, Rudimental offers rich piano chords, swells of warm organs, and sweeping strings that give the feeling of spiritual elevation. Then there’s Khalid, filling out every word with his signature velvet tone and riding the rhythm with vulnerability and confidence. This combination of sound and soul gives the song its longevity.

It’s a lovely mix of old-school and new-school Rudi, with loads of live instruments, like piano, organ, and strings. One can feel that intention in each layer. From Rudimental, Jonny Coffer, and Slim Typical, the production is crisp yet never sterile, full-bodied yet never cluttered. It breathes, moves, and carries you with it.

“All I Know” launches the year with the British group’s first new single, suggesting the sound that would take them back to their more instrumentally adventurous roots. For Khalid, it’s the first he’s put out since 2024’s “Sincere,” and it’s also a forceful testament proving he can exist as comfortably in a fast-moving DnB environment as he can in slower, R&B-adjacent worlds.

In an environment of algorithm-fed white noise, “All I Know” is a stark reminder of music’s emotional center. It’s something to feel. And that’s what makes this track different. It is a daring crossover that does not approximate but amplifies.
