The charge of attempted arson was brought in connection to a sensational claim that Diddy vengefully burnt a car that belonged to fellow musician Kid Cudi after reports of Cudi’s alleged affair with a singer named Cassie, who was known to be close to Diddy. But while the allegation was harsh, prosecutors said they had little to no hard proof to tie Diddy to the incident.
The sex trafficking case continues to be at the heart of the trial, but one of the main aiding and abetting charges within that area has also been dismissed.
