Megan Thee Stallion is kicking her legal battle against controversial blogger Milagro Gramz up a notch, seeking an order from a Florida federal judge to gain immediate access to all of Gramz’s social media accounts. The bold move comes at a time of serious allegations in which Gramz, born Milagro Elizabeth Cooper, has been accused of knowingly spreading fabricated rumors linking the Grammy-winning rapper to the 2020 attack with Tory Lanez.

New court documents claim that Megan’s legal team is accusing Gramz of outright ignoring court orders, most egregiously by failing to meet a May 27 deadline to hand over “vital” digital communications. Among them: private communications and defamatory claims, Megan says, that were weaponized against her to try to damage her public image and credibility. Even after a series of formal demands and legal duties, Gramz has allegedly refused to hand over any of the digital evidence requested. That includes information from major platforms like Instagram, WhatsApp, Discord, and iMessages, where the bogus narratives were purportedly constructed or spread.

Megan’s lawyers are now asking the court to allow digital forensics company FTI Consulting to intervene and recover the data themselves. They claim that Gramz has failed to produce content and may have even deleted some relevant to the case. The team is also requesting that the judge impose sanctions and revoke Gramz’s right to object to the digital access request.

As a further legal ploy, Megan’s counsel is also requesting an instruction that, if she is denied access, the jury should be able to infer that any missing or destroyed evidence would have been detrimental to Gramz’s case. At its essence, they’re framing this as a critical turning point in the case, one that could unlock vast amounts of incriminating digital evidence or, conversely, dramatically tilt the courtroom narrative in Megan’s favor.

This story is another example of the growing implications of the damaging effects of making what could be perceived as a defamatory comment via social media. For Megan Thee Stallion, it’s a very public war for her name in the face of digital misinformation. With legal pressure mounting, the court’s subsequent decision could significantly influence how influencers are held accountable in the social media era.
