Welsh rockers HIMALAYAS return thanks to the blistering new single, “Surrender,” a high voltage rock anthem that is yet another mouth-watering glimpse into their upcoming album, “BAD STAR.”

Bathed in significant intensity, “Surrender” is an exhilarating banger that reflects on the perils of unquestioning allegiance, whether to people, systems, or beliefs. Propulsive guitars, hammering rhythms, and a brooding urgency hound the song’s nagging questions about humanity’s inclination to accept without challenging, to follow without seeing. Far from finding common ground, however, we increasingly dig in the trenches of division. HIMALAYAS wrestles this theme directly, saturating it inside an explosion.

Guitarist and songwriter Mike Griffiths notes that “Surrender” was one of the first songs written for “BAD STAR.” Every note builds, every movement pushes forward, like a wave roaring against the land and never receding and having previously released singles like “What If…?, “Nothing Higher,” “Hung Up,” and “Cave Paintings,” HIMALAYAS are already setting the stage for what is destined to be a defining moment in their career. “BAD STAR,” when it lands on April 25th through Nettwerk Music Group, pledges to be an album dense with weighty themes and heavier riffs.

“Surrender” is a song and a cry of battle against resigned acceptance. It dares listeners to wake up, think critically, and, with purpose, move forward. With its brooding atmosphere and searing instrumentation, this track cements HIMALAYAS’ place as a force to be reckoned with in the modern rock scene.
