Brooklyn drill rapper Fivio Foreign is back in action after spending more than six months in jail. He was released on August 1, following his arrest in January related to a conflict that occurred in New Jersey. During that incident on New Year’s Day, Fivio, whose real name is Maxie Lee Ryles III, reportedly confronted a woman in a parking lot and allegedly showed her a gun. As a result, he faced multiple serious charges, including illegal possession of a weapon, assault, and making threats.

His lawyer confirmed the situation attracted a lot of attention online earlier this year. In the end, Fivio took a plea deal where he admitted to making threats, which allowed prosecutors to drop the more serious accusations against him. After spending 196 days in jail, this arrangement meant he wouldn’t have to serve additional time; instead, he would be on probation for three years, giving him a chance to get his life and career back on track.

Even with the legal issues, Fivio didn’t stop making music altogether. He released a few songs in 2025, including “HELLO,” featuring Kota The Friend. This track showed a more vulnerable side of him, suggesting he might be exploring new directions in his music after his time away. Now that his legal problems seem to be behind him, fans are excited to see what Fivio will do next. Whether this is the start of a new, more positive chapter or just another episode in his rollercoaster journey remains to be seen. Fivio Foreign is back, ready to make music, and fans are eager to see what he brings next.
