Conor McGregor might be in UFC octagon purgatory, but his fists are far from mothballed. In a shocking and chaotic clip seen in the above video, the ex-champions punching power was still very much in evidence, but this time, the hit took place outside the ring, inside one of Ibiza’s flying-est clubs.
The Irish MMA star, who hasn’t fought professionally since 2021, was said to enjoy the Ibizan nightlife at Pacha, one of the island’s most famous and exclusive clubs. Posed with his entourage near the VIP section, McGregor looked to be in good spirits, relishing the music and environment. But the situation got out of hand when a patron approached the fighter, whose name was unknown. Moments later, in what appeared to be a stunning act, McGregor landed two fast and dirty shots to the man’s face, immediately knocking him cold and out cold.

According to eyewitnesses, it was an immediate takedown. Though unknown what set it off, those in attendance say whatever was said touched a nerve with the Irishman. In the aftermath, McGregor’s security quickly surrounded him to create a human shield to avoid further escalation. The unconscious heckler, meanwhile, was hauled away and perhaps surprisingly not the clubbed UFC star. Amazingly, McGregor stayed at the venue unperturbed, and his night was not affected. It is unclear if any law enforcement officials were present on the scene, nor is the status of legal charges or actions clear.
The video of the incident, which was first obtained by The Sun and later disseminated by TMZ Sports, has inspired a firestorm of responses online. Some are jumping to McGregor’s defense and telling people that nightclub fights are heat-of-the-moment incidents. Others are asking why the club didn’t kick out the headline-grabbing assailant, who was caught on video delivering the physical blow.
The fighter has not addressed the incident publicly. TMZ reports they contacted his team for comment but received no answer. It’s not McGregor’s first brush with bad behavior out of the ring. From bar fights in the past to legal issues, the UFC bad boy has long flirted with trouble. Whether this Ibiza knockout will result in any serious consequences or be hidden behind the velvet ropes is an open question. Conor McGregor can still throw a punch, even if it’s not fight night.
