Akon isn’t holding back. Pop superstar unleashes a furious social media rant, accusing a former friend of being a fake and a fraud, setting off a digital showdown that has since ensnared fans and generated controversy throughout the entertainment industry.
Akon took to social media in a video that rapidly spread on the Internet, and called out Be.I by name and image, warning his fans and everyone in the industry to stay away. “Look at this face,” he said, indicating Be.I. “He’s a fraud, a scammer. “Literally an imposter, a straight-up leech.” According to Akon, Be.I had been making fake connections to his music empire, Konvict Muzik, using his good name to hoodwink unsuspecting backers. Akon’s advice was simple and to the point. “If you gave him money, go back and retrieve it because you’ve been scammed,” he said. “He is not affiliated in any way with Konvict Muzik or Kon Live Distribution, or any Akon-affiliated system.”

He didn’t pull any punches, casting Be.I as the conniving player who cultivated a phony life by hitching a ride on someone else’s legacy. Be.I quickly returned fire, trying to get the heat off of Akon. He acknowledged past mistakes but refused to backtrack, and he rhetorically challenged Akon’s right to stand in judgment of anybody as a scammer a nod to his own much derided and as-yet-unfinished Akon City project. In a snarky Instagram Story post, he wrote, “But who’s the scammer?” suggesting a deeper rift among family members at the root of the feud, including an apparent dispute over a woman.
The allegations flying from each side have sparked a social media firestorm, with fans taking sides and speculating. Is it a personal grudge simmering, or merely the exposure of a deeper con? In any case, the former friendship of Be.I and Akon have visibly collapsed and neither side is backing off. Though the truth may be buried in a mix of ego, betrayal, and compromised loyalties, this public spat has had the effect of turning a private fallout into a full-blown digital drama.
